Today, Sunday, the technical staff of the international investigation team “UNITAD” visited the Department of Affairs and Protection of Mass Graves in Baghdad, and several issues were discussed, including the opening of other mass graves in the areas liberated from ISIS.
The two parties discussed the provision of training to the department's teams by the international investigation team, psychological support for Yazidi families residing in Germany, and how to deal with the evidence and criminal evidence presented from the sites of mass graves.
And it was agreed on timings related to the work of conducting a joint preliminary technical examination on the cemetery of Alo Antar in the Tal Afar district and the cemetery of Tel Uzair in the Sinjar district, and it was also agreed on the appropriate timings for opening mass graves in other governorates.
It was also agreed to complete all the necessary procedures to issue a visa to the employees of the Department of Affairs and Protection of Mass Graves, as well as to prepare to implement what was planned for the success of the process of collecting information from the families of the victims of the Yazidi religion residing in Germany, and the necessity and importance of the success of this campaign to be repeated and circulated in Germany and other countries. .
