    Today, Tuesday, the Federal Supreme Court expressed a new position on the electoral process.


    The court stated in a statement received by[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3172698065/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%88%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D9%86%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%B2/ar/]Alsumaria news[/url], that "the principles of the ruling issued by the Federal Supreme Court No. (156 and its unified 160 / Federal / 2022), the court considers that

    1. The right to vote, to vote and to stand for election is one of the rights guaranteed under the Constitution, and all authorities must provide the necessary means to ensure that citizens enjoy it, otherwise the process is lost. Electoralism has its democratic value, and this represents a violation of the constitution and the authorities lose the law of their existence, which derives from the people according to the provisions of Article (5) of the constitution.[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]The Republic of Iraq[/url]for the year 2005.

One of the most important ways to achieve democracy is to find an independent body that manages the electoral process and does not interfere with it by state authorities or political blocs, and making that body’s reference to the political parties participating in the political process loses its impartiality and independence.

    3. Failure to guarantee the people's right to vote, elect and run for office will deprive the political process of its constitutional components and affect the extent to which citizens participate in the elections or not.
