    Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Electricity confirmed the return of the stability of the system as it was before the defection of the Iranian gas pipeline this evening, and while clarifying the positive aspects of the connection with neighboring countries, it confirmed that it paves the way for Iraq to enter the Arab interconnection system, which supports the stability of energy in the country.
    A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Moussa, said, "The defect in the gas pipeline was on the Iranian side and it was fixed this morning, and the loads have continued to rise since then, and the energy supply will return to what it was yesterday evening."
    He added, "The file of the electrical connection with neighboring countries is governed by the necessities and needs of the national system, and for the Turkish side, we have completed the final connection work and signed the operating agreement and signed a strategic agreement at the Jeddah conference with Saudi Arabia and with the Gulf Interconnection Authority. We have also completed several stages of this connection, and we also have 4 connected lines." network synchronously coming from Iran.
    He added, "The areas of Al-Qaim, Al-Rutba, Akashat and Ana in Anbar Governorate have suffered from complete destruction of their infrastructure due to terrorism, and therefore the need has arisen to connect with Jordan, and linking with it and with the rest of the countries gives the national network, first, great stability and secondly, it prepares Iraq to enter an important member in the energy market, and not only that, but The third will be an energy corridor and preserver and a member of the (Arab Eight) linkage system, and there will also be a fourth benefit by exchanging the energy benefit, that is, bridging the shortage that we have and also filling the needs of the rest of the countries when we reach the stage of sufficiency.
    He stressed that "the need for such agreements is important because there is a gap between the amount of energy produced and demand because it is constantly rising, especially with the absence of budgets, as the current year has not approved a budget, and thus prevented us from completing our strategic projects due to the lack of additional allocations."
    He pointed out that "the agreements reflect the policy of the Ministry of Electricity and will not be canceled by changing governments because they are strategic agreements and projects that will establish the future."
