, NBC said that the administration of President Joe Biden will not send any US official to attend a Saudi investment conference called "Davos in the Desert" to be held at the end of this month, against the background of the "OPEC +" decision to reduce oil production.
The station quoted three current and former US officials familiar with the matter, that "Biden administration officials are considering trying to dissuade American companies from expanding trade relations with Saudi Arabia, as part of the United States' response to the recent Saudi-led effort by oil-producing countries to reduce global production."
