    Economy News-Baghdad
On Thursday, independent MP Basem Khashan revealed a "hidden" law regulating the work of advisers in the three Iraqi authorities.
Khashan said in a Facebook post: "In 2017, the House of Representatives voted on the law regulating the work of advisors, which limited the number of advisors to the three presidencies to six, one advisor to the minister and the same to the governor."
This law stipulated that "the advisor must have at least 20 years of experience if he holds a bachelor's degree, and 15 for those with a doctorate, provided that they are appointed by a decision of the House of Representatives."
Khashan explained that "after referring the law to the President of the Republic for approval and publication in the Official Gazette, it became clear to the presidents that this law will oblige them to exempt their sons, daughters and friends who do not meet the conditions of the position, and it also means that the parties give up positions that generate large sums of money for them and their followers at the expense of the state." .
He pointed out: "Therefore, it was agreed to hide this law, which would have corrected part of the major defect in building the state, so that the government, parliament, and governors would seek the assistance of experienced and qualified advisers, instead of appointing family, friends and corrupt partners."
He cautioned that the law "disappeared, and was not published in the Official Gazette, so the corrupt situation continued as it was, and a large number of advisers were added to the list of the wealthy of Iraq!"
