The Iraqi judiciary issued new decisions regarding the international oil companies in Kurdistan.
Iraq Oil stated that "a court in Baghdad has invalidated three more KRG oil contracts, marking a further escalation in the federal government's campaign to impose its authority over the independently run oil and gas sector."
He explained that, "In a hearing on Sunday at the Karkh Commercial Court, Judge Muhammad Ali Mahmoud Nadim issued decisions to cancel the contracts of China's Addax Petroleum, Canada's Shamaran Petroleum and Gulf Keystone listed in the United Kingdom."
According to several officials who have seen the written rulings, "the court has not yet decided the lawsuit against the UAE's Dana Gas and Russia's Gazprom Neft." According to the site.
