Nineveh's deputy, Nayef al-Shammari, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani to visit the province and take a look at its situation on the ground, asking him to address five major files in it.
Al-Shammari said in a statement to his media office, a copy of which was received by Mawazine News, that "while we congratulate the birth of the new government headed by Mr. Al-Sudani, we hope for the good in addressing many of the files that have exhausted the Iraqi people in general and the people of Nineveh Governorate in particular."
Al-Shammari added, "The first of these files is to address the corruption that has spread in Iraq in general and Nineveh in particular, for which the simple citizen has paid," noting that "the second file is the unemployment file, where the governorate is living in a tragic situation as a result of the spread of unemployment and the accumulation of terrorist groups' control over their capabilities, the last of which is the ISIS clique. Terrorism and the economic stagnation it caused was paid for by the youth and their families, and one of its consequences is the deprivation of its sons from joining the military establishment since 2004 for fear of liquidation by those terrorist groups, which requires compensating their sons for that period and what the constitution referred to of the balance within the military establishment by opening the door to volunteering To build Nineveh within that great institution.”
He continued, "The other and important file is also the issue of poverty and finding immediate remedies for it by increasing the allowances for poor families, which were deprived of these subsidies during the period of ISIS terrorist groups' control over the province's capabilities, not to mention the high percentage of widows, orphans and needy families," noting that "the file The fourth is the file of reconstruction for the dilapidated infrastructure, especially hospitals, schools and roads, in order to restore the province's luster and status it deserves, after the size of the sacrifices it made and the suffering it experienced.
