    Alsumaria News - Localities
The head of the General Union of Agricultural Cooperative Societies in Iraq, Haider Al-Asad, suggested re-working the Supreme Agricultural Council for the development and revival of the agricultural sector.

Al-Asad told Alsumaria News, "We extend our thanks and praise to Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, the Iraqi Prime Minister, for his courage in compensating the farmers who were deprived of cultivating their lands, approving the winter agricultural plan, and securing the requirements of seeds, fertilizers and pesticides for the success of the agricultural plan."

He added, "The Prime Minister's gesture made us look to the future with a look of hope about the fate of the Iraqi agricultural sector," suggesting that the Supreme Agricultural Council be re-worked to develop and revive the agricultural sector.
