The Iraqi Foreign Minister briefs his Jordanian counterpart on political developments and features of the next stage
Shafaq News/ Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein briefed on Saturday the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi about political developments, the formation of the new Iraqi government and the features of the next phase.
This came during a meeting that brought them together in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of his participation in the thirteenth session of the Sir Bani Yas Forum, which is held under the organization of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, according to a statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry received by Shafaq News.
During the meeting, they discussed "bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them."
Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein presented a summary of the political developments in Iraq, the formation of the new Iraqi government and the features of the next phase, expressing his optimism and Iraq's aspiration to support neighboring countries and its quest for continued openness and cooperation with its Arab and regional surroundings.
The two sides looked forward to the continuation of the joint cooperation that was agreed upon during the previous Iraqi governments, and the two sides agreed to hold a meeting within the tripartite coordination mechanism (Iraq, Egypt, Jordan) and with the participation of the Gulf states early next year, according to the statement.
