Today, Monday, the Iraqi Minister of Finance, Taif Hassan, assigned the ministry's advisor, Abdul Hassan Jamal, to supervise the work of government banks.
And an official letter stated, “Based on the powers entrusted to us, we instructed to assign Abdul Hassan Jamal, the financial advisor to the ministry, to follow up on all the work of banks and their branches, to provide visions on the subject of their structure and automation, to identify weaknesses, find solutions, express a clear and frank opinion, submit it to us, and monitor the work of those banks.”
Among the answers to supervision are also, according to the official book, “and directing the official books to them, supervising the application of the comprehensive banking system for each branch of the bank, organizing and setting a timetable with specific periods for the completion of the work for each bank and each branch, following up the completion rates, including the application of the comprehensive banking system and submitting reports. The periodical came to us to express an opinion on it about all the work related to banks, including the reports on the application of the comprehensive banking system and its completion according to the period specified in the schedule, and a statement of the lagging branches and a statement of the reasons for the delay so that legal measures can be taken against them.
