Alia Nassif calls on integrity and the Public Prosecution to intervene: Business Intel has not yet obtained a license to practice security work

Alia Nassif, a member of the State of Law Coalition, held the Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Transport responsible for the lawsuit filed by the British company (G4S) against the Civil Aviation Authority, which may cause the state to be fined huge sums of money because of its insistence on contracting with Business Intel, which is run by an Afghan refugee in Canada. It does not have a similar business in providing security services for airports.
And she said in a statement today: “We have already warned in several previous statements of the consequences of the Civil Aviation Authority contracting with Business Intel, and we explained the many reasons that necessitated not contracting with it, including its lack of financial competence to contract an amount of $22,300,443, in addition to the lack of A financial allocation for this amount, and this is contrary to the provisions of Article (16/First) of the Federal Financial Management Law No. (6) of 2019, as we previously confirmed that there is a transaction between (Biznis Intel) and the Israeli Barakat Company, and that the company does not have a license to practice security work by the Ministry of the Interior.”
And Nassif continued: “The great calamity that occurred yesterday is that the previous company (G4S) filed a lawsuit against the Civil Aviation Authority because of its arbitrary contract with a new company before terminating its contract with it according to the legal conditions,” wondering: “If (G4S) won the lawsuit, who is that will pay the fine? Will it be paid from the state treasury, or will the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority pay it out of his own pocket? Or will the Minister of Transport pay it?! .”
And she concluded her statement, saying: “For the last time, we call on the esteemed Integrity Commission and the Public Prosecution to break their silence, clarify their position regarding what is happening, and play their role in preserving public money.”
