The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, directed today, Tuesday, not to promote any new applications for companies licensed to employ foreign workers.
The ministry said, in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, directed the Department of Labor and Vocational Training not to promote new requests for companies licensed to employ foreign workers."
Al-Asadi explained, according to the statement, that "the ministry is in the process of developing precise mechanisms, in accordance with the law, to ensure the employment of unemployed Iraqis before giving any opportunity to foreign workers."
