The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, directed today, Tuesday, not to promote any new requests for the employment of foreign workers.
The ministry said in a statement received by the National News Center: “The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, directed the Department of Labor and Vocational Training not to promote new requests for the employment of foreign workers.”
Al-Asadi stressed, according to the statement, that "the ministry is in the process of developing precise mechanisms in accordance with the law, to ensure the employment of unemployed Iraqis before giving any opportunity to foreign workers."
