The Iraqi President and Masrour Barzani discuss the work of the Baghdad and Erbil Dialogue Committees to resolve outstanding issues
This came during a meeting that brought them together in the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.
During the meeting, they discussed the formation of the new government headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani and the plans of its government service program, leading to achieving the people's aspirations for a decent life.
Reference was also made to "the necessity of unifying visions and adopting dialogue to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and the regional government in accordance with the constitution and in a way that achieves the national interest."
In this context, the issue of the specialized committee that was formed to go to Baghdad and meet with the federal government committee for dialogue and to reach appropriate and real solutions in accordance with the constitutional articles that preserve the rights of the people with all its components was discussed.
The President of the Republic affirmed his full support for the dialogue in order to resolve outstanding issues and enhance the level of relationship and coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, expressing his confidence in reaching satisfactory results for all and overcoming the existing difficulties.
