An American emphasis on the importance of implementing the Sinjar Agreement and involving the Yazidis in its implementation

Shafaq News/ The United States Agency for Development (USAID) announced that its director, Samantha Power, assured the Yazidi activist and UN Goodwill Ambassador, Nadia Murad, of the American administration's determination on the importance of implementing the Sinjar Agreement, and ensuring the participation of the Yazidi minority in its implementation.
In a statement announced by USAID spokeswoman Jessica Jannings and translated by Shafaq News Agency; The US agency said that Bauer met (yesterday) Wednesday with Nadia Murad, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and the founder of the "Nadia Initiative", in order to discuss how to support the Yazidis and other survivors of the atrocities committed. In Iraq and Syria, strengthening the power of women, achieving post-conflict development.
According to the press release, Power affirmed the US government's continuous call for the inclusion of the Yazidi components in the implementation of the Sinjar Agreement in order to ensure that the agreement meets the needs of society, the protection of citizens' rights, and the promotion of safe, voluntary and permanent return.
In addition, Bauer and Murad Bauer discussed the challenges that Yazidis face in camps, including Al-Hol camp, and the importance of helping communities rebuild their lives.
The US official thanked the "Nadia Initiative" Foundation for the partnership's efforts and Murad's efforts through her membership in the Advisory Committee for Voluntary Foreign Aid of USAID.
