Today, Friday, the government effort team revealed plans to urgently address 4 sectors, while confirming the allocation of 5 billion to meet the basic needs of disadvantaged areas.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Jaber Al-Hassani, told the official news agency, followed by Mawazine News, that "the plan of the engineering effort team to address the service reality began in 4 regions distributed between Rusafa and Karkh, and each side has two regions, to address the acute shortage in municipal services, the school sector, health and electricity." ".
He added that "initially, about 25,000 square meters were identified to treat roads, in areas that suffer from an acute shortage of services in Baghdad," pointing out that "45,000 square meters were identified as paving roads in the area of Duanem Al-Shuala, Al-Awainat and Al-Tajiyat, while the areas located on the side of Al-Rusafa is like the area of Seven Palaces and Al-Nahrawan, so we have started work on it.”
He pointed out that "the number of the engineering effort team's vehicles is constantly increasing, as it has now reached about 150 vehicles, and there is a move towards schools after providing the engineering effort by the education directorates with the basic needs to start the schools most in need."
Regarding the challenges that direct the engineering effort, Al-Hassani stressed that "the slums of some areas constitute an obstacle to the provision of services, and the rains also affect the continuation of the urgent provision of services, and the lack of funds," explaining that "the slums are dealt with as a reality."
He pointed out that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani directed initially to allocate 5 billion to meet urgent needs until funds are allocated in the next budget." Ended 29 / M99
