The Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee confirmed, today, Friday, its stand on the file of the repeated Turkish attacks, stressing that it will resort to the judiciary if negligence is proven.
Committee member Haider Al-Salami said in an exclusive interview with Mawazine News, "The committee is communicating with the concerned authorities, and if we find a lack of response, we will go to the judiciary to hold the negligent accountable and refer them to him."
He added, "Despite the repeated attacks, we did not find any real measures to end them," noting that there are many justifications for these attacks, such as the presence of the Turkish opposition on Iraqi soil, which was a pretext for occupying some lands.
"It is necessary to get rid of all problems," he added . that have been inherited by governments, and there is a real determination to put pressure on the government to deal with this file.”
And he continued, "There is no room for political pleasantries, because this session witnessed the presence of independent deputies in it, who will not obey or be courteous about the sovereignty of Iraq." Ended 29 / M99
