Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Services Committee announced the existence of alternatives to deal with the slums file, after the withdrawal of the abuses law from the House of Representatives.
Committee member Adnan al-Juhaishi said, "The alternatives presented for the slums file include the construction of low-cost housing complexes similar to the Basmaya residential complex," noting that "the Central Bank of Iraq will enter into this project in addition to government banks, including the Rafidain and Rashid banks."
He added that "it is possible to involve the private banking sector in this project by granting soft loans to beneficiaries at a simple and long-term rate," noting the importance of "collecting data for this segment through the Ministries of Planning, Labor and Social Affairs in order to come up with the results of a field survey to ensure the number of poor families who You don't have a home."
