On Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, directed to overcome the difficulties for the retirees, while he ordered the holding of a deliberative meeting with elite retirees and groups that suffer from deprivation of retirement benefits.
The official news agency quoted a government source as saying, "The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, ordered a deliberative meeting to be held with an elite group of retirees and groups that suffer from deprivation of retirement benefits, out of concern for this segment that represents a wide spectrum of the Iraqi people."
He added, "The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Personal Secretary of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Karim Abdel Hassan, and resulted in setting up mechanisms to enrich the needs in accordance with legal procedures and presenting them to the attention of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces for the decision to append them and raise the standard of living for this segment that provided great services to the country."
