The Council of Ministers decided, on Tuesday, to cancel the decision to form the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety to combat the (Corona virus) pandemic, and while it voted to grant allocations to social protection researchers, it decided the file of Basra retirees.
And the Cabinet stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the Cabinet discussed in today's session the file of the Corona pandemic, which is currently witnessing a clear decline in Iraq and the world, accompanied by easing the measures imposed by the pandemic. And in light of the reports issued by the Ministry of Health, The Council of Ministers approved the following:
1- Canceling Cabinet Resolution (79 of 2020), and revoking Diwani Order (97 of 2020) issued by the Office of the Prime Minister, regarding the formation of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety to combat the (Coronavirus) pandemic.
2- Canceling the Diwani order (13 of 2020) regarding the formation of the Supreme Advisory Committee for National Health and Safety.
3- Cancellation of Diwani Order (217 of 2020) issued by the Office of the Prime Minister regarding the formation of a committee to strengthen government measures in the areas of prevention, health control and awareness.
4- The Ministry of Health takes over the implementation of the Public Health Law (89 of 1981 / Articles 44 to 57) with regard to combating communicable diseases.
He added, "With the aim of fairness to the segment of Basra education retirees, and to address the problem of delayed retirement contributions and the disbursement of bonuses to them, the Council of Ministers agreed that the Pension Fund should receive the files of Basra Education retirees, who were referred to retirement, mentioned in the report of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision, and the disbursement of their rights." Pension from the date of their referral to retirement, and the Ministry of Finance / Budget Department, includes the amount (2294,769,840) dinars, which appears in the Directorate for the year / 2021 within the draft federal budget law for the fiscal year / 2023.
And he pointed out, “In the same context, the Council of Ministers approved granting allocations of no more than 30% to researchers and employees of the social protection network, based on Article (15) of Law (22 of 2008), and work is carried out according to it starting from December 1, 2022, according to the mechanism.” followed in Cabinet Resolution (15 of 2022).
He pointed out to me, "The Council of Ministers discussed other issues on the agenda, and issued decisions regarding them. The Council approved authorizing the Minister of Finance or whoever authorizes him to continue borrowing from (Exim Bank), to finance infrastructure projects in Iraq, as stated in the signed memorandum of understanding." Between the Ministry of Finance and the aforementioned bank, provided that there is a contract signed by the beneficiaries, and when the aforementioned bank does not finance the full amount, and the amounts listed, it is considered an investment project funded by the public treasury.
