Bank sales rise to more than $125 million
Shafaq News agency reporter stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling the US dollar, 125 million and 610 thousand dollars, which the bank covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, after the sales of yesterday, Tuesday, were 96 million dollars.
Our correspondent added that most of these sales went to consolidate the balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, amounting to 84 million and 10 thousand dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 41 million and 600 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 18 banks have met requests to consolidate balances abroad, and 16 banks have met cash requests, in addition to 118 mediation companies.
