The Iraqi president assures the United Nations of the necessity of coordination to close the displacement file in the country
This came during his meeting with Blaskhart at Baghdad Palace, according to a statement received by Shafaq News agency.
The statement stated that "during the meeting, they discussed the general situation in the country, and the existing efforts in addressing many files related to improving the conditions of citizens and the economic situation," explaining that "the government's support in implementing its program and responding to the aspirations of the Iraqi people and improving their living and service conditions was emphasized."
The role of the United Nations Mission was also discussed, where Rashid stressed "the importance of working and coordinating with the Iraqi authorities in addressing many issues, especially the issue of the displaced, by providing all the supplies and requirements necessary to improve their difficult living conditions and work for their safe return to their homes and cities," stressing the "closure displacement file in the country.
It was also emphasized, according to the statement, the importance of consolidating security and stability in the country, ensuring the safety of citizens, and enhancing communication and dialogue with neighboring countries in discussing files on the basis of common interests, mutual respect and sovereignty, in a way that supports the security and stability of the region and enhances cooperation in sectors of common interest.
