Today, Sunday, the Minister of Planning, Dr. Muhammad Ali Tamim, toured the departments and divisions of the Sectors Planning Department, accompanied by the Director General of the Department, Dr. Muhammad Latif, and listened to a detailed explanation given by the assistants of the Director General, and the heads of departments and divisions. He also directed his excellency to work to provide better working conditions for workers in this sector The department and the rest of the departments and formations of the ministry.
The minister affirmed that the governorates represent a key partner for the government in providing services to citizens, and this partnership calls for supporting the efforts of local governments, in terms of facilitating the requirements for listing projects, in accordance with the instructions and controls in force.
This came during the Minister's inspection tour to the Sector Planning Department in the Ministry, for the purpose of identifying the nature of the work of the departments of this department and addressing the problems and challenges facing their work.
His Excellency directed the departments and divisions concerned to expedite the completion of the requests of the governorates, ministries, and entities not associated with a ministry, related to the release of financial dues for work items completed in ongoing projects in accordance with the Financial Management Law of 2019.
The Minister stressed not to allow the country's interests to be delayed for any reason, calling on the governorates and ministries to fulfill the listing requirements for projects in order to expedite their listing by the Ministry of Planning.
On the other hand, the Minister inspected the electronic inquiries of the Ministry, met a number of auditors, and was briefed on the nature of the work in this important joint of the Ministry, and directed the completion of the auditors' transactions as quickly as possible.
