Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's sales of foreign remittances increased, on Sunday, to more than 100 million dollars, with the participation of 33 banks.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling the US dollar, 124 million and 991 thousand and 651 dollars, covering it at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that most of these sales went to enhance the balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, amounting to 104 million and 141 thousand and 651 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales amounting to 20 million and 850 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 20 banks have met requests to consolidate balances abroad, and 13 banks have met cash requests, in addition to 111 financial intermediation companies.
