, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani directed, on Monday, all ministers to submit a monthly position on their measures in combating financial and administrative corruption within their ministries.
Al-Sudani’s office stated, in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that “the Prime Minister directed, at the outset of the session, all ministries and agencies not linked to a ministry and the governorates to take the necessary measures to complete the requirements of the Ministry of Finance in confirming contractors whose service exceeds two years. Contracting orders with them before October 2, 2019, and sending them to the Ministry of Finance for audit and confirmation purposes.
Al-Sudani directed, according to the statement, all ministers to "submit a monthly position on their procedures in combating financial and administrative corruption, within their ministries," stressing that "the government's measures are not limited to combating corruption, but rather more importantly is the recovery of public funds that have been stolen."
