On Monday, the Iraqi President, Abd al-Rashid Latif, discussed with National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji the necessity of strengthening the security effort in the border areas.[/size]
[size=45]And according to the Mehr News Agency, that the Iraqi presidency stated in a statement it received that “the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received, at the Baghdad Palace, the National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji.”[/size]
[size=45]She added, “The meeting discussed the security situation, as the President of the Republic stressed the need to support government efforts to enforce the law, enhance stability, and ensure the security and safety of citizens.”[/size]
[size=45]She explained that "the meeting stressed the importance of preserving and perpetuating the security achievements that have been achieved in a way that serves the citizen and enhances his confidence in the state."[/size]
[size=45]It was emphasized that "the need to intensify security and intelligence efforts in border control, the pursuit of the remaining ISIS terrorist cells, and the fight against organized crime gangs in order to preserve the security and interests of citizens and the country."[/size]
