The Council participated in an international conference and presented its ideas on the Iraqi situation.. Peace and Solidarity: The policy of imposing a blockade is a violation of human rights

The Iraqi Council for Peace and Solidarity called on the countries of the south to work together and cooperate to establish economic organizations that protect their people, stressing that the blockade policy imposed by the United States and the countries involved with it against any people constitutes a violation of human rights. The Council stated, in a statement received by (Al-Mada), that “the Iraqi Council for Peace and Solidarity participated in the 22nd Conference of the World Peace Council, during which it delivered a speech on various topics.”
The statement added, "Issues of war and peace are among the global phenomena that interest emerged in the aftermath of World War II, and its foundations crystallized in the nineties of the last century."
He pointed out, “This is after the world witnessed the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the world’s submission to the effects of savage capitalist globalization, which made the peoples of the world in general and the peoples of the world of the South in particular suffer from the collapse of security and the large number of external interventions to witness wars and internal divisions that harmed them and led to the loss of their human capital and made them It faces obvious challenges.
And he added, "The challenges were and are still predicting an exacerbation of its situation in terms of the energy crisis, the food crisis, the climate change crisis and desertification, which lead to the spread of instability and the high level of disintegration that afflicted its political, economic, social and cultural system."
The statement drew attention to the realization that international relations and their derivatives (international politics - diplomatic foreign policies, strategic and geostrategic policies) are governed by the equation of conflict and cooperation. And he stressed, "Iraq was and still is closer to the circle of conflict than to the circle of cooperation in the system of international relations. Sometimes it is a party to conflicts and the other is a geography for it. Today, it is an arena for regional and international conflicts, which robs it of its will and paralyzes its ability to practically play the role of mediator." Although all this does not prevent him from announcing, as a position only, that he is ready to play this role.
The statement noted, "It is in Iraq's interest to be an arena for dialogue between regional and international adversaries, in order to get rid of being an arena of conflict between them."
He explained, "The diagnosis of the situation in this regard indicates that the unity of the external political discourse of Iraq is almost lost for reasons produced by multiple loyalties that arose from a deficient international vision of the possibility of making Iraq an oasis of stability in the epicenter of regional and international conflicts." And the statement added, "The internal movement is still interacting, and it may take a long time for Iraq to be a partner and an active party in the circle of cooperation to build peace, security and stability in the region and the world, which requires global solidarity with our people to stand against the continuous aggressions that it is exposed to from neighboring countries and beyond." And he stated, "Our country is facing very complex challenges due to external interference, especially by neighboring countries, in the internal affairs of our country. Serious attacks on our lands by Turkey and Iran have recently grown, accompanied by another aggression represented in the failure of our country to obtain its legal share of water."
And the statement stated, “Iraq represents the country at the mouth of the two historical rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates, while the routes of the rivers feeding in Iranian territory have been changed.”
He stated, "People's lives are threatened because of these policies that exploit the situation of our country, which has experienced forms of well-known crises," stressing that "the area of agricultural land is narrowing, desertification is increasing, and the health situation due to lack of water is declining in light of a situation in which the international organization has lost its influence to find solutions to disputes."
And he talked about living "in a historical era in which peace and development represent two main issues in a world whose population has reached eight billion people, and peace must be achieved through coexistence based on mutual benefit and equality."
And the statement continued, "The controversial issue of the conflict between civilizations has lost its importance during the past two decades after unilateral domination, but it is regaining some of its intellectual standing in an inevitably coming multipolar world." And he stressed, "The level of racism, religious and cultural tendency has increased due to what has been produced by the transformations in various countries of the world in light of the inhumane and polar globalization that has expanded the circle of wars, so sub-identities have taken precedence over national identities." The statement believes that "violence and terrorism have become, in various regions of the world, the most prominent features of the transformations taking place, and the racist tendency has increased against immigrants looking for opportunities for life and security after globalization, discrimination policies, and savage capitalism have produced an area of poverty, insecurity and insecurity."
And he called, to "stand with" the Sudanese people in their legitimate struggle to build their democratic civil state and to strengthen social peace based on justice and equality among its people, and to stand against the aggression against Yemen and against foreign interference in Syria and Libya, and we stand in solidarity with the struggle of peoples everywhere to obtain their freedom. And the statement went on, "The blockade policy imposed by the United States and the countries involved with it against any people constitutes a violation of human rights, and we call on the international community to condemn these policies."
He called for "coordinating global efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, and these efforts are undertaken by people, and they should put pressure on governments and international institutions concerned with maintaining peace and security to expose deceitful methods and the use of terrorism as a means to achieve political ends."
The statement stressed the importance of preserving the cultural heritage and civilizational heritage of every people of the world and protecting it from the dangers of savage globalization.
And the statement went on, “There is no alternative for the countries of the South to joint action and cooperation to establish economic organizations that protect their people from the exploitation of globalized capital, to build and achieve sustainable development, and to promote peace and security, which are a condition for stability and a necessity for building civilization and laying the foundations for human progress.
