    Economy News-Baghdad
Baghdad Governorate announced, on Thursday, that it is preparing a feasibility study for the project to develop and expand the five entrances to Baghdad, in order to reconsider its costs.
The governor of Baghdad, Muhammad Jaber al-Atta, said in a statement that "the five entrances to Baghdad project, which the province initiated more than two years ago, includes the development and expansion of streets, roads and the entrance, in which several parties such as the Baghdad Municipality and the Ministry of Construction participate in addition to the municipalities of neighboring provinces." The budget of 200 billion dinars has been allocated for the project, and it hardly covers its costs.
Al-Atta added, "A feasibility study for the five entrances to Baghdad project comes with the aim of reviewing its costs in accordance with the work plan and determining the amounts accurately without increase or decrease, and the project needs to allocate paths for large loads in addition to service roads that facilitate the movement of the people of the regions."
He revealed, "There are designs previously prepared and approved by the governorate, in addition to others that were completed according to work developments," noting that "this overlap between designs occurred because the project includes the development of the entire area in a way that befits the entrance to the capital."
It is noteworthy that the five entrances to Baghdad are: (Baghdad-Fallujah) with a length of (5.32) km, and (Baghdad-Kut) with a length of (200.32) km, passing through the district of Al-Jisr, Al-Madaen and Basmaya, all the way to the district of Al-Suwayrah, in addition to (Baghdad-Hilla). It has a length of 34 km and reaches the Alexandria district, and (Baghdad-Diyala) with a length of 12 km and reaches the Jdeidet Al-Shat district, in addition to the (Baghdad-Mosul) road with a length of 32 km and reaches the Dujail district.
