Today, Thursday, the Ministry of the Interior announced the start of redeploying the security forces on the zero line of the border, while setting a date for receiving the security file for the entire cities.
"The border represents the most dangerous file for Iraq, so the Ministry of Interior has provided some support for the border file," said the Interior Ministry spokesman, Major General Khaled al-Muhanna, noting that "the redeployment of forces has begun on the zero line of the border."
He added that "infiltration across the Iraqi-Syrian border has become impossible," stressing that "our forces are capable of securing the borders with Turkey and Iran."
He pointed out that "drug gangs use drones for smuggling operations."
Regarding receiving the security file for the cities, Al-Mahna explained, "There is no specific date for receiving the security file in Baghdad, but the Ministry of Interior will receive the security file for the cities in full within months."
