. Al-Ghurairy said, "His visit yesterday to Diwaniyah Governorate took place under the direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, with the aim of launching a campaign to reconstruct the facilities of the Ministry of Commerce in this governorate, starting from the Diwaniyah Mill, in addition to establishing a new headquarters for the General Company for Grain Processing." In addition to the reconstruction of the Diwaniyah supply center, as well as the construction of a silo for the people of the province.
He pointed out, "The Prime Minister directed to give Diwaniyah Governorate utmost importance, and these steps began in a practical way through the implementation of a reconstruction campaign for vital and strategic facilities."
He explained, "The Ministry of Commerce is working on providing strategic storage by providing the ration basket and wheat materials," noting that "the port of Basra received a series of wheat and rice ships."
Al-Ghurairy stressed, "We are working to increase the ration card items for the poorest class, who are covered by social care, through specialized committees that submit their recommendations later."
He pointed out, "The blocking procedures continue naturally in accordance with the controls and instructions, which include every person whose salary exceeds one and a half million Iraqi dinars," stressing that "there is no delay in this field."
And he indicated, "The food basket program has added balance and stability to market prices, and therefore its continuation prevents an increase in prices."
In turn, the ministry's spokesman, Muhammad Hanoun, confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency, INA, that "Al-Ghurari's visit to Diwaniyah yesterday inaugurated the start of implementing a broad plan for the reconstruction of commercial departments, in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, who instructed to modernize and rehabilitate the government Diwaniyah mill with a capacity of 200 tons through the Saudi loan and complete the establishment of the grain manufacturing department in the province." .
He added, "The minister instructed all directors of commercial departments in the province, as well as in the ministry, to visit Diwaniyah and see in detail the obstacles and solve all the problems that the province suffers from, and the province of Diwaniyah will be a starting point for other provinces."
On the other hand, he pointed out that "the Ministry of Commerce is studying several options for the marketing season next year, and it is subject to the decisions of the Economic Council headed by the Prime Minister, and the subject of wheat prices is subject to government evaluation."
