The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rikani, announced, on Sunday, that he is striving during the next two months for a quick completion of the Yusufiya session, while indicating that a new work schedule is being set to complete it as soon as possible.
Rikani said, "I have seen the Dora-Yusufiya highway project, which is one of the important projects in resolving Baghdad's congestion and pressure on the roads," noting that "highways are our specialty, as we will discuss with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani and the Baghdad Municipality this highway and a set of other plans." ".
He added, "The road project we started with in 2019, and it is one of the plans for the years 1980 and 1982 for the highway network system in Baghdad, but due to the Corona events and the subsequent conflicts that followed, the project was delayed," noting that "the project was supposed to be completed two years ago, and we will strive to complete it." and its opening.”
And he continued, "We will follow up on the details of the project and present a new work schedule, in order to finish it as soon as possible," explaining that "all projects in Baghdad and the rest of the provinces will have work schedules for follow-up," according to the official news agency.
