    The Independent / - The Central Bank of Iraq's sales of dollars for foreign remittances increased, on Sunday, by about $130 million in today's auction, with the participation of 31 banks.
    That “the Central Bank sold today, during its auction for the sale and purchase of US dollars, 129 million and 301 thousand and 909 dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
    81% of the sales went to consolidate the balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, amounting to 108 million 351 thousand 909 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, amounting to 20 million 950 dollars.
    That 18 banks have met requests to strengthen balances abroad, and 13 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 113 financial intermediation companies.
