Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani and Iranian Minister of Antiquities and Tourism Izzatullah Dargami discussed, on Monday, the coordination of work in the field of religious tourism.
Al-Sudani's media office said, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani received, yesterday evening, the Minister of Antiquities, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Izzatullah Dargami, in the presence of the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq."
He added, "The meeting witnessed the discussion of consolidating cooperation between the two countries in the field of antiquities and heritage and the exchange of experiences, due to the diverse civilizational and cultural heritage enjoyed by the two neighboring countries," explaining that "the meeting dealt with the importance of coordinating work in the field of religious tourism, and providing mutual facilities to citizens of both countries ".
