    On Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani directed the acceleration of work in implementing the port of Faw and the dry canal project.
    And the media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement, that "Al-Sudani chaired a meeting devoted to following up the progress of the executive works in the Al-Faw Grand Port project, in the presence of the Director General of Ports, the Assistant Director General of Railways, and the Chairman of the Board of Advisors in the Prime Minister's Office."
    During the meeting, Al-Sudani listened to a "detailed presentation of the overall construction and implementation works, the percentage of completion in all paragraphs of the project, as well as the implementation stages of the implementation companies, and the most important technical, legal and procedural obstacles and obstacles that stand in the way of completing the work in all its stages."
    The statement added, "The meeting reviewed the details of work in the field of linking the port to the national road and railway networks, and providing energy requirements and support services for the port project."
    Al-Sudani directed to "accelerate work in all the executive paragraphs of the port, and the dry canal project related to it," stressing that "the great port of Faw represents a project the size of Iraq and the aspirations of its people to develop the national economy, and it is a priority in the field of economy and development within the ministerial curriculum that the government adheres to." ".
