His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Monday, December 5, 2022, at the Baghdad Palace, a delegation from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The President of the Republic welcomed the visiting delegation, expressing Iraq's pride in the historical relations with Armenia, which witnessed a constructive and fruitful cooperation process, whether at the bilateral or international levels.
His Excellency the President expressed his aspiration to strengthen these relations by increasing the rates of trade and economic exchange in addition to the cultural aspect, in line with the level of distinguished relations between the two friendly countries.
For his part, the members of the delegation conveyed the greetings of the Armenian President to His Excellency, praising Iraq's efforts to consolidate bridges of friendship and dialogue with the Republic of Armenia, and stressing their country's keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with Iraq at various levels.
His Excellency President Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid entrusted the visiting delegation with its greetings to Armenian President Vahaken Khachaturian, wishing him success and the people of Armenia further prosperity.
