Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani announced today, Monday, that the Forum of Ancient Civilizations includes concluding agreements to preserve antiquities and recover stolen ones, while indicating that the United Kingdom will soon return antiquities borrowed for the purpose of study.
Al-Badrani said: "The convening of the Ancient Civilizations Forum in Baghdad is important for the pioneering countries in the depth of civilization," noting that "these countries have great civilizations, and the importance of this conference is not only for the history of ancient countries, but we are looking forward to concluding agreements aimed at preserving the antiquities and recovering the stolen." .
He added, "Large quantities of stolen antiquities have been recovered," noting that "there are other groups of antiquities that will be recovered soon, and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities is interested in that."
And he continued, "There is a tendency to return some antiquities from the United Kingdom soon, which were borrowed for the purpose of study," pointing out that "political understandings have a major role in restoring antiquities." Ended 29 / H
