Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein confirmed, on Wednesday, that Iraqi foreign policy is concerned with strengthening relations with neighboring countries.
Hussein said, during a joint press conference with the Jordanian and Egyptian foreign ministers, that "a group of issues related to Iraq, Jordan and Egypt were discussed."
He added, "During the meeting, economic projects and the Baghdad conference in its second edition, which will be held in Amman on the twentieth of this month, were discussed," stressing that "there are upcoming meetings in Baghdad."
For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said, "Jordan stands with Iraq and supports its security and sovereignty, and that Iraq has begun the reconstruction process."
In turn, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said, "We are working to enhance integration between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan," continuing: "We provide full support to Iraq and its territorial integrity." Ended 29/N33
