Baghdad / Iraq News Network - A member of the Kurdistan Parliament Ali Hama Saleh warned on Wednesday of "the decline in the region's oil," as he put it, while calling for an agreement with the federal government on oil and the 2023 budget. Saleh said in a press interview that "Kurdistan's oil is declining, and in order not to face major difficulties, the region must agree with the federal government on the issue of oil and the budget." He pointed out that "if the agreement is reached between Erbil and Baghdad, the region will receive more than one trillion dinars, and 250 billion per month." The relationship between Baghdad and Erbil has faced several problems over the past years, foremost of which is the non-delivery of northern oil imports to the federal ministry, as well as 50% of the revenues of ports, fees and taxes.
