Baghdad-Iraq today:
The head of the Summit Center for Strategic Studies, Haider al-Musawi, considered the movement of the Kurdish delegations to Baghdad on the occasion of the imminent approval of the federal budget as an attempt to “impose special agendas” on the Sudanese government, while stressing that the region has in its eyes many laws to implement, the most prominent of which is Article 140.
Al-Musawi said in a press interview, “The movement of the Kurdish delegations from northern Iraq to Baghdad with the formation of any government or the imminence of approving the Iraqi budget is an attempt to impose special agendas and pressure the Iraqi government to amend the oil and gas law and pass it according to what is appropriate with what is related to Kurdistan.”
He added, "Erbil is trying to put pressure on the central government in the issue of the Kurdistan region regarding the financial budget," adding, "We have become accustomed, since the change of the regime to this moment, not to issue funds or provide anything to Baghdad from oil exports, but the region used to get everything from the center.” ".
The director of the Summit Center explained, “The Kurds are trying to put pressure on the Sudanese government and his personality to preserve the interests and gains that have been allocated to them and strive to achieve them and increase their share of the financial budget, in in addition to many other important demands.”
Al-Moussawi said, “The issue of Kirkuk and the disputed areas is not hidden from the attention of the Kurds and their attempt to approve it,” stressing: “He is not convinced of this word, given that the region is part of Iraq.” , so such phrases or addresses must not be issued."
