Political analyst Muhannad Al-Janabi confirmed, on Friday, that the situation in Iraq would have been radically different and much better if the political system had put national interests as its compass and the interest of Iraq and the Iraqi people above everything, but the system of quotas and nepotism did not work on that.
Al-Janabi explained: “Corruption has become a chronic disease inherent to the political system, and therefore the crisis is the crisis of the entire system, and this political system cannot reform itself, and this is what was diagnosed and recognized by even the decision-makers in the ruling system.” Noting that “the political crisis that has confirmed to more than A year in which the essence of the political struggle was about reforming the system and determining the priorities of the government and starting to fight corruption or setting the first stage to fight corruption by changing the pattern or mechanisms of government, but this did not succeed, and this matter is like a snowball that will grow and return to fall on the parties that protect corruption.
