Today, Thursday, the Federal Integrity Commission revealed that the former governor of Salah al-Din approved the disbursement of two billion dinars for one of the "fake" electricity projects in the province.
The Commission’s Investigation Department stated, according to a statement received by Mawazine News, that “the Salah al-Din Investigation Office team was able to seize the original transaction of disbursing an amount of (2,000,000,000) two billion dinars by the governorate, for the purpose of processing materials for the (400kv) line,” indicating that “ The process of disbursing the amount for the fictitious project that does not exist on the ground took place with the approval of the former governor of Salahuddin.
The department added, "The total cost of the project, which is included in the projects to rehabilitate and maintain electrical installations and clean government departments in the governorate, and implemented by the Direct Implementation Committee, amounts to (4,000,000,000) billion dinars."
She explained, "The investigations and field investigations carried out by the Commission's team have proven that the project for which the funds were disbursed is a fictitious project that does not exist except" on paper "only." Ended 29/N33
