, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani chaired, on Wednesday, the second session of the Supreme Commission for Coordination between the governorates not associated with a region.
Al-Sudani's office stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "during the session, the general situation in the governorates was discussed, a number of vital files were discussed, and the level of implementation of the requirements that the government directed earlier, which fall within the priorities of its ministerial platform."
He added, "The session also witnessed detailed discussions about the plan to transfer the security file within cities to the Ministry of Interior, and supervise it according to what was included in the government program, in the presence of the Ministers of Defense and Interior. During the session, the topics on the agenda were discussed, and a number of decisions and recommendations were issued. The internal system of the Supreme Commission for Coordination between the Governorates was voted and approved, based on Article (45/First), of Law No. (21) of 2008 (amended) for Governorates not organized in a region, in preparation for its publication in the Official Gazette.
The session approved assigning the Ministry of Planning to prepare a program that falls within the 2023 budget, to operate, maintain and train cadres in sanitation stations in the governorates.
In the context of what the Prime Minister directed earlier regarding addressing the problem of roads and streets, a large number of which have become a threat to citizens and their safety, the Higher Authority for Coordination between the Governorates issued a decision requiring the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works to submit a detailed study on addressing the problems Activating the weighing stations and separating the main and secondary roads within 30 days.
In order to facilitate the arrival of chlorine to the governorates with a high flow, and without any obstacles, the National Operations Center, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, was tasked with developing a simplified mechanism for transporting chlorine, starting from the issuance of the import certificate until it reaches the water stations, and it is possible to benefit from the proposals of the Najaf governorate in this regard. connection.
