    On Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani called on all free lecturers to return to their schools, while announcing the tendency to resolve the lecturers’ file within the 2023 budget.
    Al-Sudani's media office said, "Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani received representatives of the free lecturers' coordination at the Ministry of Education in all governorates, in the presence of representatives of the Iraqi Teachers Syndicate," pointing out that "Al-Sudani listened with interest to a detailed explanation of the status of the free lecturers, their numbers, and their efforts." In supporting the Ministry of Education by filling the shortfall in its educational staff.
    The prime minister praised, according to the statement, "the great role of this segment, which provided great services to the country for free, which reflects the degree of altruism they enjoy, without this meaning neglecting their rights."
    He stressed that "the file of free lecturers is of interest to the government," calling on "all free lecturers to return to their schools."
    He pointed out that "meetings are continuing with the Ministry of Finance and governors to determine the numbers of free lecturers, and the necessary allocations to resolve this file within the 2023 budget," stressing that "the government is working continuously and making every effort to create job opportunities in various new sectors."
