Shafaq News/ Today, Sunday, the Federal Court decided to postpone consideration of the unconstitutionality claim to extend the work of the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, according to a judicial source told Shafaq News agency.
Yusuf Muhammad Sadiq Abdul Qadir, a former member of the Parliament - the fourth session, had filed a lawsuit against the Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament, Rewaz Faiq, demanding that the law for the continuation of the fifth session of the Parliament of Kurdistan - Iraq No. (12) of 2022 be unconstitutional, for violating Articles (1, 2 and 5, 6, and 20) of the constitution and the termination of the term of the fifth session of the parliament of Iraqi Kurdistan from the date of 6/11/2022.

Abdel Qader requested the issuance of an urgent state order to stop the implementation of Law No. (12) of 2022 and to stop all procedures, powers and actions that the defendant and her two deputies can take until a decision is made on this case.
