The Minister of Health, Salih Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, announced today, Thursday, exempting groups from the material cost of health insurance and benefiting from the application of the law.
The Ministry of Health said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "in implementation of the priorities of the government program in the health sector, the Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health Insurance Authority, chaired today, at the Ministry's headquarters, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Health Insurance Authority, in the presence of a number of officials." Experts in the Ministry, representatives of the relevant ministries and unions, and directors of the Health Insurance Authority formations.
Al-Hasnawi stressed during the meeting, "the importance of the health insurance law and its implementation in order to raise the quality of the medical services provided," noting that "the law aims to care for people with limited income and social care, as As well as the inclusion of employees in the service provided, which will start from the private and government sectors.
He pointed out that "there are categories that are exempt from the symbolic material cost and benefit from the application of the health insurance law."
During the meeting, the mechanisms for registering those covered by health insurance were discussed, and the use of electronic governance in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in performance.[/size]
