Today, Wednesday, the Civil Defense Directorate counted the amounts saved from fire accidents during the year 2022, while it indicated that (227,358,434,000) were rescued in the public, private and mixed sectors in all governorates, except for the Kurdistan region.

The directorate said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that "the departments of materials saved for the public and mixed sectors amounted to about (40,726,090,000) forty billion, seven hundred and twenty-six million and ninety thousand Iraqi dinars, while the sections of materials saved in the private sector amounted to (184,132,546,000) one hundred and eighty-four billion, one hundred and two." Thirty million five hundred and forty-six thousand Iraqi dinars.

The Directorate attributed the reasons for the recurrence of fire accidents to "the occurrence of electrical contact, negligence in applying safety and security conditions, and child abuse, as Iraq is witnessing a high rate of fire accidents as a result of high temperatures on the one hand and the random wiring of electrical wires in private generators on the other hand."
