, Minister of Communications, Hiyam Al-Yasiri, issued a decision specifying the number of Internet-equipping companies and obliging them not to sell capacities to any unlicensed company.
And the ministry stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "Al-Yasiri sent a letter to all companies providing Internet service in the market, stipulating that the number of companies amounting to 13 companies be approved exclusively as suppliers of the (Wireless) service that reaches citizens' homes."
And she obliged Al-Yasiri, according to an official letter, to "not resell Internet capacities to any unlicensed company that is not contracting with the General Company for Communications and Informatics."
And she added, "These measures come in line with the requirements of the public interest and to improve the Internet service provided to citizens." Ended 29 / H
