    Shafaq News/ On Thursday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, called on German companies to participate in the country's reconstruction and infrastructure development.
    Al-Sudani said during a meeting with representatives of German companies, in the invitation held by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce in Berlin: The new Iraqi government is heading towards more participation of German companies in the reconstruction and development of infrastructure, as Iraq places its trust in German companies, due to its experience and competence. high and international reputation.



    He added that his government "seeks to diagnose the challenges facing the investment process in Iraq, and put them in a direction that is consistent with international standards, and it is also working to overcome obstacles in front of companies operating in Iraq, providing the necessary facilities, reducing bureaucracy facing investors and simplifying procedures."
    Al-Sudani continued: The government has facilitated the granting of entry visas to Iraqi lands to investors directly at the Iraqi border crossings (land, sea, and air) for the purpose of investment, and to invite German companies to invest in Iraq in various fields, especially investment in renewable energy projects, gas and petrochemicals.
    He said, "It is expected that the costs of producing renewable energy in Iraq will be low compared to other countries, as well as supporting the Iraqi government's plan to develop the energy and electricity sector. We also urge German companies to actively participate in joint exhibitions and conferences, which will represent a roadmap for the work of German companies in Iraq." .
    Al-Sudani also indicated that his government seeks to open air links between the capitals of Baghdad and Berlin and the rest of the Iraqi and German cities, to strengthen trade, investment and tourism relations between the two countries, and aspires to a strategic partnership and cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
    He pointed out, "emphasis on the participation of Iraqi private sector companies in the projects in the custody of German companies, and the establishment of investment partnerships between the two sides, to achieve the strategic partnership and its sustainability. We stress the importance of activating tourism in the way of tourist groups, to visit archaeological and tourist areas in Iraq, and to overcome obstacles."
