Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting that included the Minister of Oil and a number of officials in the ministry, devoted to following up the progress of work in implementing strategic oil projects.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by Al-Ahed website, today, Monday, that "Al-Sudani stressed the importance of proceeding with projects related to providing water to inject productive oil wells and raise their production capacity."
He added, "The meeting witnessed a review of the progress of work in associated gas investment projects," stressing "the need to speed up reaching the stage of stopping flaring and investing this wealth, as well as developing mechanisms to raise the production capacity of natural gas."
