Today, Monday, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Bengin Rikani, revealed that the ministry is on the verge of expanding cooperation and partnership with the Turkish side in various fields, noting that Turkish companies have previously implemented many important projects in Iraq.
The media center of the ministry stated in a statement, "This came during the minister's meeting with a Turkish delegation that included the governor of Gaziantep, Daoud Kul, the ambassador of Ankara in Baghdad, and the accompanying delegation," noting that "the ministry is about to open a new page of relations and expand partnership with Turkish companies, hoping To have an active role in the reconstruction of the country, especially since the ministry is about to implement a large number of projects in various sectors.
For his part, the Governor of Gaziantep expressed his "thanks for the meeting," stressing that "the aim of the visit is to strengthen ties and relations between the two countries, achieve great results and raise the level of relations with Gaziantep Governorate, which is characterized by geographical proximity to Iraq and has many commercial and economic partnerships with it." In various fields".
The Turkish ambassador also expressed his thanks for "the invitation and the realization of this meeting, which he described as important," stressing the importance of the Ministry of Construction and the sensitivity of its work in advancing the urban reality in the country, "hoping that" Turkish companies will have an important and positive presence in the reconstruction of Iraq in the field of infrastructure, superstructure and projects.
